After the world championship qualifying 2nd place at Ironman 70.3 Thailand, I almost immediately decided that in the next two races (Geelong and Florida) I would participate just for fun and base fitness. Focus would be on travelling and enjoying the trip. Well, the latter worked out well, but as I already discovered in Geelong, I’m having quite a hard time just racing for fun without any target at all.
Training on the road
OK. I know you guys probably hoped that Marloes would write another piece on our camping adventures and how I suck in dealing with strange animals, connecting electricity cables and fixing waterhoses that burst right in my face. But the thing is that we’re in Noosa right now, and Noosa is quite a triathlon heaven, so I figured it was time to update on how the training part of our trip is going here on the road….
Race report Ironman 70.3 Thailand
