Time flies here on the road. While enjoying the time in Australia and New Zealand to the fullest, physically it was a period of base building and not doing anything stupid (only one minor bike crash in Wanaka, so I guess that worked out quite well) with so many hard weeks of training to come. The first of these hard weeks are starting right now, here in Clearwater Beach in the US.
Race report 70.3 Ironman Geelong – how to race for fun
The race here in Geelong was always supposed to be the ‘easy going’ race. The race that wouldn’t matter too much, the race that would define my new base fitness and most of all, the race that was supposed to be a a lot of fun and that I should enjoy more than anything else. But how do you define enjoyment?
Training on the road
OK. I know you guys probably hoped that Marloes would write another piece on our camping adventures and how I suck in dealing with strange animals, connecting electricity cables and fixing waterhoses that burst right in my face. But the thing is that we’re in Noosa right now, and Noosa is quite a triathlon heaven, so I figured it was time to update on how the training part of our trip is going here on the road….
