After the world championship qualifying 2nd place at Ironman 70.3 Thailand, I almost immediately decided that in the next two races (Geelong and Florida) I would participate just for fun and base fitness. Focus would be on travelling and enjoying the trip. Well, the latter worked out well, but as I already discovered in Geelong, I’m having quite a hard time just racing for fun without any target at all.
After movie Ironman 70.3 Florida
While Kelvin is still recovering from Sunday, we do already have a nice after movie from last Sundays race. Kelvin killed it and accomplished his goal to go sub 4.30. I couldn’t be more proud!
A full race report from the master himself will come online later this week.
Race report 70.3 Ironman Geelong – how to race for fun
The race here in Geelong was always supposed to be the ‘easy going’ race. The race that wouldn’t matter too much, the race that would define my new base fitness and most of all, the race that was supposed to be a a lot of fun and that I should enjoy more than anything else. But how do you define enjoyment?
